About this material

A note from the author

All Praise is due to Allāh the Most High and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger, and upon the Messenger’s family and companions.

Islāmic knowledge is the greatest gift that any parent or community of elders can give their young. It is an equally precious gift for adults newly entering Islām. Knowledge of the religion is a treasure that ideally should be imported with kindness, wisdom and in a manner that remains interesting and easy to understand. Most importantly of all, Islām must be given in a manner which ensures that the basic tenets of the Creed are planted soundly and correctly in the minds of all recipients. With so many misleading notions of Islām prevalent today, based upon individual or collective whims and fancies, the requirement for authenticity is all the more pressing.

The aim of this series of books, Can I ask about Islām?, is to present today's discerning young (and even old) with authentic Islam in interesting and engaging modern prose, whilst still remaining within the bounds of the Qur’an and Sunnah.

If anything is correct and true in this work it is from Allāh. If anything is incorrect or false it is from me. Please advise me if you feel the latter is the case anywhere. I seek Allāh’s Forgiveness and His Guidance to ensure that this work is as accurate as possible.
